Alaska Trollers Association (ATA) is seeking an exceptional, self-motivated person with strong communication skills to manage the day-to-day operations of a non-profit corporation representing commercial hook and line salmon fishermen. ATA’s mission is to preserve, promote, and perpetuate the troll industry in Alaska. We work for conservation, sound management, good public policy, and safety at sea.
Summary of Position: The Executive Director is responsible for all aspects of the organization and works at the direction of a 12-person Board of Directors. Position requires the use of MS Office Pro and QuickBooks Pro.
Responsibilities include: (1) office administration and personnel management, (2) membership and fundraising, (3) industry research and outreach to management agencies and regulatory bodies, (4) correspondence and newsletters; and, (5) functioning as ATA’s primary spokesperson with policymakers, the public and media.
