Judge Jones denied ATA’s request for a stay in the Western Washington district court yesterday, Friday 5/26/23. ATA and the State of Alaska and NOAA (US) have already filed appeals with the Ninth Circuit Court and we are also now preparing our request for a stay in that court. Our stay (requesting our Chinook fishery open July 1 as usual) will be filed Tuesday 5/30/23. The State has already filed their Stay. Administratively, we are hearing the NOAA is indicating they will have the new BiOp and NEPA documents ready in time for our fishery to open July 1st.
