Agenda Change Request 13 (ACR 13) was introduced by ATA Board candidates Monique Wilkerson and
Dave Richey in effort to rectify an unfounded modification of language from what was passed by the
Board of Fish, March of 2022 as RC 178, into regulation, 5AAC 47.055.
> RC 178
> ACR 13
ATA stands by the original negotiation language in RC178 and is thankful that Dave Richey and Monique
Wilkerson rose to address the improper change which allowed the sportfish sector to remain
unaccountable throughout the season in spite of overages.
At point are the 15,000 kings, actually over 20,000 at last count, which were caught by sportfish and
subtracted from the Troll allocation. This overage was revealed in the August 4th ADFG press release.
ADF&G: Southeast Alaska/Yakatat Summer Troll Fishery Announcement (August 4, 2023)
The deadline to make an ACR was August 14. At the time, most of the ATA board was coho fishing and
we couldn’t establish a quorum to vote on a position. We are very thankful that Dave and Monique,
who have proved themselves to be dynamic, did not back away from this formidable task.
